Everything on a FileAL account is driven from one panel: the balance and the payout request, the space in use, the traffic left for today, the referral counter and the settings that decide how other people download your files. This page walks through what that panel actually contains, so you know what you are getting before you sign up.
The four counters at the top
Account balance
- What you have earned so far.
- A Request payout button sits next to it.
- Payouts are set in the configuration box.
Used space
- Shown as used of 1000 GB on a registered account.
- Premium accounts carry a larger allowance.
- Counted across all your folders.
Traffic available today
- What is left of the daily download volume.
- Resets on its own, no action needed.
- Extra traffic packs add to it.
My referrals
- How many people signed up through you.
- The referral share is 5 percent.
- Banners, buttons and the referral link are one click away.
Getting paid
The payout method is chosen in the configuration box and the account keeps your payment details for it. The methods offered are:

Your links
- A published files link that lists everything you made public.
- A personal affiliate link for sign ups.
- Ready made banners and buttons for both.
Webmaster account
- Prove you own a site by uploading a small text file to its root.
- A meta tag in the template does the same job.
- Once verified, the site is tied to your account.
Premium key
- A key bought elsewhere is applied from the same page.
- One field, one button.
- Useful when someone gives you premium time.
How your files behave for other people
These settings sit on the right of the panel and change what a visitor meets when they open one of your links. Leaving a field at zero keeps the site wide default.

Keeping the account safe
Two factor
- Google Authenticator can be switched on from the account settings.
- It is off until you enable it.
- Worth doing on any account that holds a balance.
Security lock
- An extra lock on the sensitive parts of the account.
- Sits next to the two factor switch.
Notifications
- Mail on login, on affiliate activity and on deleted files.
- Deleted files can be restored when the same upload comes back.
- Each one is a single checkbox.
There is also an API key, generated from the same page, for anyone who wants to upload or manage files from a script instead of the browser.
